MCO – Orlando International Airport; the largest and most convenient to the attractions area. MCO is approx. a 35-45 minute drive to Disney World Resort and a 30-40 minute drive to Universal Orlando. 

How big is Walt Disney World Resort?

Covering nearly 40 square miles, WDW is about the size of San Francisco or two Manhattan islands.  Of the nearly 25,000 acres, a third is the designed as conservation land.

How big is Disneyland Resort?

With 3 hotels, 2 theme parks and 1 entertainment district – Disneyland Resort is roughly 510 acres.  By comparison, the entire Disneyland Resort would nearly fit inside WDW’s Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which sits at 403 acres.

Where can I find the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?

You’ll find the “Chosen One” in the Universal Orlando Resort theme parks. Both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios have their own unique Harry Potter themed land. Islands of Adventure is home to the wizarding village of Hogsmeade nestled at the foot of Hogwarts Castle. Here you can visit Three Broomsticks and Hog's Head for a bite to eat and a cold beverage, find your special wand at Ollivander's, buy your fill of sweet treats at Honeyduke's and ride alongside Hagrid on Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. With a park-to-park admission ticket to Universal, you can jump on the Hogwarts Express train and take a ride to Diagon Alley, located in Universal Studios Florida. Here, you can dine at the Leaky Cauldron, evade Voldemort on the ride, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, taste butterbeer at the Hopping Pot, or satisfy your sweet tooth at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor. 

Where can I stay if I plan a vacation to Universal Orlando Resort?

Universal Orlando Resort now has 8 Resorts to choose from.  The resorts are divided into 4 categories: Value, Prime Value, Preferred and Premier. Each category offers its own price point and amenities. With so many places to choose from, there is a resort for every family and budget (Depending on your choice of hotel, there are extra perks that come with staying there. Be sure to ask your Travel Planner what, and if, perks are included). 

Does Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando Resort offer any choices for Water Parks?

YES!  As a matter of fact, 3 of them!  Walt Disney World has 2; Typhoon Lagoon and *Blizzard Beach.  Universal Orlando Resort has 1; Volcano Bay (operates seasonally).

(*Blizzard Beach is closed for refurbishment, with a re-opening TBA.)

Can you help me plan a budget conscious vacation?

What if I’ve been to Walt Disney World or Universal Studios Orlando multiple times and have seen it all?

Honestly, you only think you’ve seen it all!  Did you know there are VIP tours that will take you backstage and beyond at the various theme parks?  Ask about one when you speak with your Travel Planner.

Are the holidays celebrated at the various theme parks?

Boy are they!  Depending on the time of year you visit, you can celebrate just about any holiday you desire.  If you visit during the Halloween season, Magic Kingdom has offered a separate ticketed event on select nights – Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, full of Trick-Or-Treating, special Character appearances, and Magic Kingdoms’ select attractions! 

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for something a little more spooky, Universal Studios Orlando offers a separately ticketed event on select nights – Halloween Horror Nights, where you can experience terrifying haunted houses, sinister scare zones, outrageous live entertainment and some of Universal Studios’ most exhilarating attractions.

Of course, once Halloween is over, Christmas time kicks into high gear at just about every Orlando theme park!  Be sure to ask your Travel Planner for even more information.

EPCOT celebrates with several different festivals throughout the year:

The International Festival of the Arts runs for approx. 6 weeks in Jan and Feb. The festival is a global celebration of visual, culinary, and performing arts where guests can find inspiration and discover their own creativity in fun ways across the park.  

The two largest (and longest running) festivals are: EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival - Budding February 28 - May 27, 2024; a Spring event abloom with brilliant gardens, fresh flavors, lively entertainment and more!

Immediately following is the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, running from Summer to late Fall (*exact dates TBA). Delicious food, special entertainment and festival merchandise are offered all throughout the park.

I’m vacationing aboard a cruise ship, how can I get to Port Canaveral?

If you are headed to Port Canaveral from the airport as part of your vacation – it will take approx. 45min to 1 hour drive time.  We can arrange hotel stays for arrivals the night before, private car, rental car or bus transportation for your pick-up and drop-off needs once you arrive to Orlando.  Same can be said if you are headed to the Theme Parks after your cruise - or if you are, sadly, returning home.
